Hopefully as you are reading this I have already drank about one hundred thousand fun drinks poolside at the Ace Hotel. I am on my yearly vacation to celebrate one of my best friend’s birthdays and I look forward to these four days all year. This year has been one that feels like never ending waves keep crashing down and I have been non-stop traveling for both extremely fun and extremely traumatic reasons so it’s nice to finally be away without tears. Next week I finally come home to no trips planned and am excited to actually get things done in LA and explore my city some more.
With that being said, I am also using that time and now this newsletter to say that I am actively looking for a new job. If anyone reading this has heard or hiring any writing jobs such as copywriting, podcast research, even writer’s assistant stuff I am very available and with my roommate moving out and me taking over the whole place, I need it. So thank you in advance if you can connect me anywhere! Or simply upgrade to being a paid subscriber in the meantime hehe :)
Now for my little rec portion:
I am declaring my drink of the summer now and it’s a Spaghett, which is just Aperol and Miller High Life (or my preference, a Modelo). The Aperol really adds something to the bitter taste of beer but I also love Aperol so this might just be an excuse to drink more of that. Even as I compose this week’s edition I am drinking a Topo Chico with a splash of Aperol so maybe this is my summer to figure out how much Aperol I can sneak into drinks.

My friends had me over for dinner the other night and we played a new game (to me) called Chronology that I thought was just some deeply nerdy history game but turns out- it was pretty fun. The premise is to guess historical events on a timeline but don’t pay attention to that too much. I also just love a new game!!
The sun is coming back and hopefully the gloom is starting to leave and I’m not just talking about Los Angeles weather in April-June. I feel like I’m starting to get a handle on things and hopefully this summer can publish more newsletters (and paint my apartment). For the most part, this year I’ve felt like this little creature ;)
