At the beginning of 2025 I decided that my color for the year would be green. My vision board was green and realizing this was also my year of saving money it felt kismet. I’ve loved incorporating this color choice in any decision where a color is on the table. I’ve also slowed down my consumption in a huge way, partly because I am looking for a job and because I am realizing I really have enough at the moment and now that I am trying to be more focused on anything green, it’s helped to pare down some options. It’s also been fun to gravitate towards it in the wild and feels like a Bingo card punch when I stumble across some fun shades of green.
Speaking of green, my favorite dance night in LA is ABBA night and they now have a green hat with a phrase I yell about ten times a month. If you’re in LA you have no excuse to come! And buy a hat. Their instagram is @abbnight for updates.
Spring Training is here so baseball has unofficially begun and with this year’s winter feeling so unseasonably warm I can’t help but feel we are already fast tracked into summer. My mental health is loving it, even though my mental health needs some more rainy days to quell my remaining fire weather fears.
I think one of my biggest recs I shout to people on a weekly basis is the hand cream at Trader Joe’s, especially their rose oil cream. I hear it is a L’Occitane dupe and although I can’t personally confirm that, I do love it so much and it’s only !!! $4.99 !!!
Last Sunday I took two kids I babysit to Descanso Gardens for the first time since they remodeled their train platform. It feels a little more official now but it was so fun and I highly recommend to any LA parents reading this.
My friend started a monthly soft serve club and this month we went to Somi Somi in Ktown and it was sooo good. I got the Matcha and Ube swirl and it was perfect, no notes.
